Hello Team!

Align Team Daycare, ATD, is now accepting enrollment for children that have Title 20 funding. This is open to all employees, friends, and family!

As an added bonus, families of children starting the program now through March 11, 2020 will receive $100 per child (new enrollments only).

Align Valentine Fest

Align Home Health will once again be having our annual Align Valentine Fest! Located at 1616 Mardon DR, Beavercreek, OH 45432, please join us on Thursday, February 14th, throughout the day for different activities including:

Valentine’s Day Festival: Its is that time of year for our annual Valentine’s Day Festival. This year, the party is going to be even larger than last year! We have scaled up and grown to make this the event of the season:

  • Align Sweet Shoppe: Back by popular demand, the Align Sweet Shoppe will be in full effect! From 12p-3p, come to the office for the biggest selections of sweet treats since Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory!

    • Prefer people to make an appointment
    • MUST HAVE a physicians note to get 3D coverage on van
    • If under 40 must have a physicians note
    • Clients can be scheduled in 20 minute intervals (3 per hour)

    • Payment plans available for uninsured patients

Concept Redesign: Starting in February with the hopes of being complete in March, the ALC is getting a facelift! We will be tailoring our layout to be more suited to providing care for individuals with more aggressive care needs. These efforts will be concurrent to the daycare construction.

These efforts are to improve our ability to provide services in our daycare!  Over the next month or two, our facility will be upgraded to include a better classroom experience, a fenced in play area, and better ADA compliance for access to the building.

We wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the team.

Benefit Corner

Retirement Savings Plan: We have partnered with Fifth Third Bank to offer members of our team access to a retirement savings plan.  If you are interested, please contact Josh for enrollment information.  These types of products are great for saving some month before taxes are taken out.

Financial Planning Class: Starting in January, we will be offering a FREE financial education class at the office on the weekends.  Initial topics will include how to make a budget, pay off debt, and save for the future, but we will also include any topics that the group is interested.  The first class is Saturday, January 19th from 2pm to 4pm.  Contact Josh to sign up.

New Financial Products: We are researching some new team benefits for you, but we need your input as to the level of interest.

  • 401k – A group savings plan for individuals who want money deposited in their account directly from their paychecks before taxes are taken out.
  • Financial Planning Courses – Classes head at our facility for our team about budgeting, saving, and planning money health.

Voting Promotion:  Thanks for everyone who has already sent in their pictures from absentee and early voting.  Your FREE MONEY will be disbursed after the election.  For those who are not aware of this program, we are compensating people that vote 2 hours of pay for voting and sending us a selfie with your ballot or “I voted” sticker.  Details can be found HERE.  The election is next week, Tuesday, November 6th!

In Closing

Good luck at your polling place.  Next week’s election determines who the new Governor of Ohio will be.  If you are unaware, the Governor has final authority on how much the State reimburses us for care, which directly effects how much we are able to compensate our team.  So, you are essentially voting for your paycheck, so you definitely have skin in the game!

But, regardless of who you vote for, just get out and participate!

Hello Team!

We thought we would put a resource page together for Election News since there have been a few questions!  Also, we’ve doubled the perk thanks to all the good recommendations.

Promotion

For any hourly team member that votes in the November 2018 election and sends Align a selfie with your “I Voted” sticker, you will be gifted a bonus equal to 2 hours of your hourly rate.  Tax Free.  Cold Hard Money.  No Questions Ask.  We must receive the selfie within 48 hours of Election Day.

In Closing

Though Align has no official position for who you vote, we just want everyone’s voice from the team to be heard.  Too many good ideas go by the wayside when people refuse to stand up.

Specifically for what we do for a living, the majority of the people we care for are funded by state backed programs.  This years election, we, Ohioans, are choosing a new Governor, which can directly impact the work we do, the funding we received, and indirectly, your pay!  Do not fall under the false belief that this is not an important election!!

With Summer coming to a close, we wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on the team.

Benefit Corner

First Aid/CPR: For all members of the team, we have bolstered our First Aid / CPR program.  Not only have we doubled the amount of classes, but we are also offering classes through the week.  Click HERE to access the flyer including the schedule.  Contact Kara S. to sign up.  As a reminder, having active First Aid / CPR are a requirement for employment.

Align Home Health

EVV: Over the next year, Medicaid will be implementing a system called Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) to all Medicaid patients in Ohio.  This system is a way for Medicaid to monitor that services are being received by their patents on an ongoing basis.  Over the next year, you may be seeing EVV tablets being installed into Client’s homes.  Until we are authorized, there is no need for any member of our team to use these; just continue to clock in and out as normal using Axiscare.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.  As we find out new info, we will relay it to the team.

Camp WhatAboutYou: The ALC team completed another successful year of our Summer camp for folks with special needs, Camp WhatAboutYou.  The camp had 11 participants this year and did a variety of activities under our roof and in the community as seen HERE.  Though it’s sad to seem them go, there were many wonderful memories made over the 10 week program!

In Closing

Hope everyone had a fruitful Summer.  As we head to Fall, we wanted to remind everyone that there is a very important election in November.  In order to vote, individuals must be registered by October 9th, 2018.  Everyone can confirm their registration by going HERE.  It takes 2 minutes to get set up.

Why is this important?  Besides it being your civic duty, Align is offering for all hourly staff, a gift of 1 hour’s compensation for anyone who sends us a selfie outside their polling location with an “I Voted” sticker.  For those voting absentee, send us a selfie of you voting from home with your sticker.

Regardless of who you vote for, just get out and participate!

New News

  • New Format: We’ve standardized the heading of the newsletters to that folks can more easily find the information.  If you have any suggestions, don’t be shy.  Email or text Josh!
  • Daycare: Probably the greatest update that I’ve had the fortune to bring to everyone.  An exploratory committee met in early June to discuss creating a Daycare center exclusively for family members of our team.  There is much more work to be done but we are moving forward with this project.
    • How can you help?  As we move forward, we will be asking for your input and participation, again, don’t be shy.  It serves no one if we create a Daycare that isn’t compatible with anyone’s needs.
  • Corporate Challenge: In the future, Align is working to bring every member of the Align family healthcare and 401k.  In order to pay for these benefits, however, we need have growth to the tune of about 40-50 more Direct Care Staff to the team.  That said, given a long enough timeline, we will eventually hit this goal, but the faster we can hit this goal, the faster we will be able to roll out these premium benefits.
    • How can you help?  I challenge every member of the team, spread the word about Align Home Health and encourage your friends, colleagues, and people you know in the industry to apply.  There is no stronger reference than ‘word of mouth’.  By getting people you know to be good caregivers to onboard, we can continue to grow and the faster we can bring everyone more benefits.  It is in all of our hands!  Folks can apply at www.alignhomehealth.com/jointheteam

Caregiver Benefits: As we grow, our goal is to continue to bring more value to our team members in the form of incentives, bonus, and perks.  In short, having the best team members more than any other organization, means that you should be valued as the best team members.  So, this section will remain as a standard part of all newsletters moving forward and is reserved as a place for update regarding Caregiver Benefits…to which this month, there are many!

  • Holiday Pay: Starting July 4th, 2017, Direct Care Staff will receive holiday pay for holidays at the rate of 1.5 times your regular pay!

Hello Team!

Happy Nurse Week everyone!  We wanted to give everyone some exciting updates!  Apologies for the lateness in the month but there has been a flurry of activity thus far.

Benefit Packages: As most of you know, we have moved into a new, wonderful building full of potential.  The hope is that it will afford us the opportunity to begin rolling out an inclusive set of classes, bonuses, and benefits for every team member.  Our goal is to continue to provide each member of our team more value than any other agency around.  I am pleased to say that this process has begun.

Starting in late May, Align will be offering in-house CPR & First Aid training to all members of our team!  Kinks are still being worked out and this is the beginning of many, but it is another way that we would like to say thank you for all you do.

For anyone who’s CPR & First Aid certification is set to expire in May or June, we will allow amnesty until our classes become available.

Quarterly Party Alert: More exciting new, quarterly parties will start this Friday, May 12th from 12pm to 2pm.  Stop by 1616 Mardon Dr, Dayton, OH 45432 for a cook out with all the fixin’!  Hope to see you there!  Its an opportunity to mingle with your team and see the building for those who have not!  If you are interested in coming but scheduled to work, please contact Judy to help make arrangements for you to attend.
